Aloha 1.0 is a social group of deaf and hard of hearing people who enjoy getting together to eat, socialize and play games. The group consists of approximately 30 people, hearing losses range from mild to profound, many people sign and many do not. While most of the members are of the baby boomer generation, all are welcomed. The group meets every 2nd Saturday of the month in each other’s homes all across the Twin Cities. Dinner/social time is 5:30pm-8pm, games/cards/more social time is 8pm-12am. Aloha 2.0 is a newer, smaller group of deaf and hard of hearing people ranging in ages of 20-35. They are working on getting together on a more regular basis and are also welcoming new people who are interested in socializing, food and games.
