Synopsis: “Potok, scion of the Maximilian furs family as well as a painter of note, describes with humor his attempts to delay the effects of retinitis pigmentosa, an inherited, progressive, eye disease. Potok relates with comic effect his supposed “cure” with bee-sting therapy in London, and shares his concerns for his marriage and for his daughter, who also bears the genetic defect.”
