HLAA New Orleans Summer Convention Cancellation
HLAA (the national organization) has decided to cancel the HLAA Convention that was scheduled to take place in June of this year in New Orleans, Louisiana.
You can read more about their decision to cancel on the HLAA blog. Like a lot of organizations, HLAA made this decision to cancel the convention due to COVID-19 and gatherings of people still being discouraged.
HLAA is offering online resources and free captioned webinars to help those in the community feel less isolated even though we are literally having to isolate and maintain a distance.
HLAA-TC (the local Twin Cities chapter) has made the decision to cancel the upcoming April monthly chapter meeting. We are also trying to provide resources for our local community. An earlier blog post we posted offered detailed resources and reading on COVID-19.
Make sure you’re subscribed to this blog (by signing up on our website homepage), as we will be posting more pertinent information in regards to COVID-19. Comment on this post or on Facebook with things you would like future HLAA-TC COVID-19 updates to cover.
