HLAA (the national organization) is hosting Virtual Meetings
The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) national organization is hosting virtual meetings via Zoom in June (Saturday, June 6 1-3 CST) and July (Saturday, July 11 1-3 CST). The meetings will be captioned (just like all the HLAA webinars).
Please visit this link to find out more information and to register for the virtual meetings. Registration is free and you just have to provide your name, email, and city. Once you register and provide your email address, HLAA will email you a link to join the Zoom meeting. Zoom is accessible for free with no download necessary. You can download the Zoom application on your smartphone or tablet if you like (but it’s not necessary if you use the website and follow the link HLAA will send you upon registration).
The Saturday, June 6th meeting will be about “Advocacy and Impact: Effective Communication in Health Care Settings.”
Saturday, June 6, 1:00pm – 3:00pm (Central Standard Time). As mentioned, Zoom is a free application that can be accessed in the App Store or Google Play or via their website: https://zoom.us/
According to the HLAA website, this is how they describe the virtual meetings: “These meetings are virtual experiences where people from the hearing loss community can come together and socially connect. They are captioned online meetings using ZOOM that include a presentation from a guest speaker, question and answer exchanges from participants, hearing health tips and more.”
If you participate in one of these virtual meetings let us know what you thought (comment on this blog post or comment on Facebook).
We hope that you and your family are doing well and we certainly missed seeing everyone for our monthly meetings. As always, if you have something you would like to see featured in an upcoming blog, please comment on this blog post or connect with us on Facebook or LinkedIn. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
