May Book Club Review and June Book
HLAA-TC Book Club met on Thursday, May 29th and welcomed author Matt Hay to talk about his memoir “Soundtrack of Silence: love, loss and a playlist for life.” We had a great conversation with Matt that covered many aspects of the book and his life navigating with hearing loss and Neurofibromatosis Type 2. June Book and Book Club: We are going back to meeting on Tuesday for June (after our brief foray meeting on Thursday for May) and we will be welcoming another author, Lisa See to talk about her novel “Lady Tan’s Circle of Women.” The book doesn’t deal directly with disability but offers a sweeping view of women striving through adversity (historical fiction).
