Starkey Hearing Technologies offers hearing aids to Minnesotans in need
HLAA-TC has been notified of an opportunity provided by Starkey Hearing Technologies for those struggling to afford hearing aids. Starkey Hearing Technologies is providing hearing aids at no cost. Participants must meet minimum qualifications, such as documented hearing loss, demonstrated financial need, and be a Minnesota resident with the ability to attend an in-person fitting (at the Eden Prairie headquarters of Starkey). This is part of their corporate social responsibility program called Starkey Cares. To find out more, read this flyer: Starkey Hearing Aid Assistance in Minnesota. If you feel that you qualify for this program, contact Liz Sweet at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (800) 328-8602. If you know of someone who may be qualified and interested in this program, please share this information with them.
The next monthly HLAA-TC chapter meeting is Saturday, March 20th, and Kristen Swan, a therapist with HealthPartners, will be speaking on “Self Care and Managing Emotions.” Please email Lionel BEFORE the meeting at email@example.com in order to receive a link for the March 20th Zoom meeting. Like most meetings, social time starts at 9:30 am and Kristen Swan begins her talk at 10:00 am.
We are starting an HLAA-TC book club that will meet online monthly in addition to our chapter meetings. If you are interested in participating please notify Laura at firstname.lastname@example.org. To find out more about the book club read this blog post.
