We are announcing that our next virtual book club will be Thursday, August 19th, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm (Central Standard Time). We will be discussing “Shouting Won’t Help: Why I— And 50 Million Other Americans— Can’t Hear You” by Katherine Bouton and Katherine will be joining us. The meeting will be held on Zoom with live captions. (All meetings are free and open to HLAA members or non-members.)

To find out more about Katherine Bouton and the books she’s written, visit her website where she also blogs frequently. Bouton has been a frequent speaker and guest for various HLAA chapters and is a member of HLAA herself. As always in the book clubs, questions for the author are encouraged.

If you are interested in the book club and you haven’t already notified Laura that you would like to attend please email social@hlaatc.org and Laura will send a meeting link to interested people a few days before the meeting. (All book club meetings are currently virtual.) Laura will also be available before the meeting to help get the Zoom application up and running for you if you need help (email her with questions).
