May HLAA-TC meeting canceled.
The HLAA-TC board has made the decision to cancel the monthly HLAA-TC meeting that was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 16th. The “Stay Home” order for Minnesota has been extended by Governor Walz to last until May 18th, therefore it is necessary to cancel our May meeting. (Please find out more about the extended “Stay Home” executive order by visiting the MN COVID-19 Information Page here.)
Since May is usually our last HLAA-TC meeting until we pick back up in September, we will certainly miss our celebratory potluck and seeing everyone. We will continue to update this blog and social media (Facebook and LinkedIn) with information about anything we feel our members would appreciate reading about. This includes COVID-19 resources, information about hearing loss advances, and more.
So far, the COVID-19 news updates have included a listing of websites, articles, and resources about COVID-19; the cancellation of the HLAA national conference in New Orleans; adjusted store hours and delivery information; and virtual travel (during times when real travel isn’t advised).
The Hearing News Updates have included a list of hearing-related articles; a celebration of world hearing day (which was March 3, 2020), and the partnership with HLAA and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for World Hearing Day.
As always, if you have something you would like to see featured in an upcoming blog, please comment on this blog post or connect with us on Facebook or LinkedIn. Stay safe. Stay healthy. And stay informed.
